50p Stair Nosing
This term is often used by our sales office to describe the shaping of a stair nosing when conventional fabrication techniques are not possible due to the profile shape.
With solid stair nosing extrusions i.e (without pvc infill) gradual curves can be formed but if the step curvature is tight, a segmented and welded shape is an alternative.
“Flooring terminology often used for steps with tight curved returns include, hockey sticks, ramshorns and bullnoses.”
The images shown are C.A.T reference BN2 brass stair nosing and were part of an order for 108 steps supplied for a period building refurbishment project in the west end of London.
View BN2 in our eCatalogue pdf page 72-73.
